When you create an account, request a demo, or contact us, we collect information such as your name, email address, company name, and any messages you send us.

Data you upload

BankRecon processes bank statements and general ledger data that you upload for reconciliation purposes. This data is stored securely and used solely to provide the reconciliation service to you.

Usage data

We automatically collect basic usage information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and timestamps. This helps us improve the product and diagnose issues.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the BankRecon service
• Process your bank reconciliation data as directed by you
• Respond to your requests, questions, and support inquiries
• Send service-related notifications (e.g., maintenance windows, security alerts)
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or security threats
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information or your financial data to third parties. We do not use your uploaded reconciliation data for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). BankRecon is hosted on Microsoft Azure with enterprise-grade infrastructure. We implement access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews to protect your data.

Closed reconciliation periods are permanently locked and immutable within the application. Your historical reconciliation records cannot be tampered with.

We retain your account information and reconciliation data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 90 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

We use a limited number of third-party services to operate BankRecon:

• Microsoft Azure — cloud hosting and infrastructure
• Microsoft Entra ID — authentication and single sign-on (SSO)

We do not share your uploaded financial data with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data brokerage services.

BankRecon uses essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
