About

Built by people who hate manual reconciliation

CraftyFuen Automation is a software automation company. We build tools that eliminate tedious, error-prone manual work — starting with the monthly ritual that keeps accountants up at night: bank reconciliation.

The origin story

BankRecon started as an idea in 2024 — a custom project for Sidney Lee Welding Supply, a regional welding distributor juggling multiple bank accounts, thousands of transactions per month, and an accounting team spending days each period manually matching entries in spreadsheets.

We built them a tool that automated 90%+ of that work. The results were immediate: what used to take two days now takes under an hour. Period closings stopped being dreaded — they just happened.

We could have wrapped it up and put it on a marketing site that year. We didn't. We spent the next two years using it ourselves, hardening the matching engine against real reconciliation work — through real month-ends, real audit pressure, real edge cases that never show up in a slide deck. Only when it held up without us coaching it through every quarter did we open it up to other teams.

That problem isn't unique to one company. Every accounting team using traditional methods faces the same grind. So we packaged it up and made it available to other teams who'd rather spend their month on financial analysis than on spreadsheet matching.

That's BankRecon — a product born from a real problem in 2024, hardened against two years of real-world use before it was ever sold.

Who's behind this

Hi, I'm Lili.

BankRecon exists because a client got fed up with their reconciliation software — clunky UX, inconsistencies, all the usual paper cuts. They wanted to close the books, not negotiate with a tool. So we built one that gets out of the way.

We're family-run, with occasional second opinions from outside experts when a problem deserves a second brain. Nights and weekends are fair game when something matters to a customer — fast, human support is the whole product, really. The software is just the part you click.

What we believe

Automation over busywork

If a computer can do it reliably, a human shouldn't have to. Every hour saved on reconciliation is an hour spent on actual financial analysis.

We won't auto-match below 90% confidence

Other tools optimize for an empty review queue. We optimize for not creating false matches you'll have to chase down at quarter-end. If our model isn't confident, you see it — every time.

Built for real teams

We don't build features for press releases. Every capability in BankRecon came from a real accounting team's real pain point — usually one we watched cost them an afternoon.

CraftyFuen Automation

Small and selective — on purpose

BankRecon is currently used by accounting teams at companies like Sidney Lee Welding Supply. We're growing slowly and on purpose — onboarding new customers personally and only when we know we can deliver. No sales quotas, no rushed implementations. If you end up using BankRecon, it's because we both decided it was the right fit.
